                     Phil Gonshak: A Legacy of Leadership and Integrity               

Phil Gonshak is the driving force behind Gonen, LLC, bringing over 24 years of experience in law enforcement, public administration, and management. As the owner and founder of Gonen, LLC, Phil’s commitment to excellence, ethical leadership, and community safety has shaped the company into a premier dignitary protection and investigative services provider.

A Distinguished Career

Phil’s career began in 2000 with the Tempe, Arizona Police Department, where he served in various roles, including Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, and SWAT Operator/Sniper. His dedication to public safety and community well-being propelled him forward, and in 2007, he joined the Seal Beach Police Department in California. There, he rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the Chief of Police in 2019. During his tenure, Phil was responsible for overseeing the safety of a 13-square-mile coastal community, managing a $15 million annual budget, and leading a team of over 70 employees and 100 volunteers.

Phil’s leadership extended beyond daily operations. He played a crucial role in strategic planning, community development projects, and the implementation of innovative public safety initiatives. His ability to balance the demands of public service with the needs of the community earned him a reputation as a trusted leader and advocate for positive change.

Before founding Gonen, LLC, Phil brought his expertise to the City and County of Denver and Summit County, Colorado. As a key figure in Denver’s public safety initiatives as the Director of Strategic Initiatives, he works alongside community leaders and city executives to develop strategies that address critical issues like violent crime, homelessness, and public safety reform. Prior, as County Manager of Summit County, Phil led a diverse team of 567 employees, managed a $205 million budget, and successfully oversaw the administration of county affairs, ensuring the well-being of residents and visitors alike. These roles further solidified Phil’s reputation as a leader with a deep understanding of the complexities of public administration and community-focused security solutions.
